So, what are you contributing to your relationship? Part 3 (Provision)

Do you know that the way your wife dresses and looks is a reflection of your glory (your worth)? Men that have been stingy with their wives will definitely disagree with this. Well, the Bible does: the woman the glory of the man.
In one of his teachings, Dr Myles Munroe mentioned six purposes that a man is created to fulfill. These are: visionary, leader, teacher, cultivator, protector and provider.

A Man brings Provision

I guess some men wanted to dodge the responsibility of providing for their families in the Bible. This made Paul write:”But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” 1Ti 5:8

As the head of the family, it is the sole responsibility of the man to provide the basic needs such as: food, shelter, security and clothing, as well as other needs like; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual nourishments.

A Woman brings Management Skills

If a husband does not trust his wife with his resources, there is a big problem because every man wants to increase financially and materially. It means she is either unfaithful, unaccountable or she is not prudent financially. Either way, every home needs a prudent wife with good managerial.

As a woman, you ought to be the first manager of your husband. Ensure good and effective utilization of resources, to avoid wastages. A woman should be a multiplier, and she should bring increase to her family.

Two primary lessons from the virtuous woman that we all admire are: management and entrepreneurial.  Through her management skills, she brings increase to the wealth of her husband. Her husband trusts her because she manages well (Proverbs 31:11)

Also, “She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her sons rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” (Proverbs 31:27,28).

ACTION!!!
Dear Husband, make your wife look good. God says she is your glory. If you don’t believe God said so, go and read 1 Corinthians 11:7

Dear Wife, Can your husband trust you with his credit card? If financial trust is missing in your relationship, something big is missing indeed. Don’t eat the bread of idleness, you can also contribute to the family purse like the virtuous woman. Start helping your husband manage his resources for growth.
