Every family should
take Family Vision very seriously, because the vision of the family determines
the direction of the family. Where there
is no vision, the family perish…
The next point we are considering is Vision. What is the major
role of the man and the woman in the vision of the family.
The Man brings Vision
Except in special cases, the man is the visioneer. In the hands of a
man, the vision is like a potent see. His mandate is to plant it, cultivate it to
a garden and develop it into a forest.
A man should have a vision for every aspect of his life;
especially important areas such as: his wife, his children, his work, his finances
and even his grandchildren.
Proverbs 13:22 says “a good man leaves an inheritance for
his children children.” This inheritance can include both tangible such as wealth,
and intangible things like legacy.
When a man fails to get a clear vision before starting his family,
he will expose his wife and children to danger. Children find it easy to go
wayward in visionless families. Hence, it is mandatory for a man to bring the
vision for his family to the table and show it to his wife, and then children.
The Woman brings Life
The name of the first woman is very significant. Adam named
her Eve, because she was the mother of all living. In other words, she gives
life to his world. (Genesis 3:21)
A woman is endowed to give life to the dreams of her
husband. This is why a good wife is a vision partner to her husband. Her role
is not to introduce a new vision, but to induce life into the vision of her husband’s
vision.
Every vision need life, just the way seeds need germination.
Thus, it is not good for a man to be alone.
Action!!!
Dear Husband, Don’t let your secretary, friends or your associates take
the place of your help meet. Your wife is your helpmeet, and her work is not
limited to mothering your children and cooking, she is endowed to help you mother your vision. Let her in!!!
Dear Wife, If you
don’t give life to your husband’s dreams and visions, someone else will. It is
not good for him to do it alone. Help him fertilize his dreams and vision through
partnership, participation and prayers. Also, identify his needs and seek
wisdom.. Strengthen him with sweet inspiring words.
