Hey baby, welcome to marriage. You have to change your vocabulary; stop saying my dream, my vision, my goal, my life.... You are no longer single my dear. In marriage, "My Stuff becomes Our Stuff."
2. My Husband has his own vision and I have my own separate vision
Open the door, and let your spouse into your life. Can two walk together unless they agree? If you used to be a loner before marriage, kindly retrain your mind and learn how to cleave to your spouse.
Your
personal dreams
and ambition stopped being personal the day you married. They start
attacking or supporting your spouse's vision. If you and your spouse do
not share the same vision, di-vision sets in, and ultimately results in di-vorce.
COMMON
MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT MARRIAGE
1. I
can do anything I like, the way I want to do it, or the way I feel like doing
it. I am not accountable to anyone.
NO Sir! Marriage is an institution with constitution. You are accountable; unto one another. The bible says: The wife hath not power of her own
body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own
body, but the wife (1 Corinthians 7:4).
2. My Husband has his own vision and I have my own separate vision
No Ma!!!! You are very wrong. Once a family has more than one
vision, division is inevitable. The bible says The light of the body is the eye: therefore
when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine
eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. (Luke 11:4).
Your vision should marry your husband's vision for two to chase ten thousand.
Your vision should marry your husband's vision for two to chase ten thousand.
