1. Does Christianity or Salvation guarantee success in marriage?
2. Does Beauty and money guarantee success in marriage?
There are many ministers of God with heavy anointing but failed marriages. Do you know why? Listen to what the Bible has to say....
Proverbs 24:3 "Through wisdom is an house built and by understanding it is established"
Bible never said through ANOINTING is a house built.
Hence, Wisdom is the fundamental requirement for a successful marriage
Anywhere you see a marriage start without wisdom, know that it is heading for ***** (smiles) I did not say anything o. The problem with many believers is that we use spirituality to cover up marital matters.
The Bible says "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom" This means there are other levels of Wisdom.
If all you have for your marriage is "the fear of the Lord ", Bros and Sis... It is not enough!, wisdom is the principal thing. So I advise us all, If you desire a sweet marriage, Yoruba says, the soup that is sweet, it is money that kill it
If you leave your marriage life to chance... It will attract unwanted elements and Satan is ever ready to maximize little "chances "
Any marriage around you that is succeeding is a product of knowledge, wisdom and planning
Tonight I will briefly highlight 4 elements needed in establishing a successful marriage that will outlast you with impacting legacy
The 4 elements are:
1. Convictions
2. Value System
3. Mission Statement
4. Vision Statement
1. Convictions
Marriages don't work because you meet a perfect person
Infact after you meet Mr or Mrs Right, some other "hotter" ladies will walk pass you, or a gentlemen that take your breath away
If you are not careful, You will consider "change" ( like Buhari... Lol)
The problem now is not the change, But the issue is that , changing spouses will not solve anything, because you will keep meeting other people.
So, the question is how long will you keep changing?
What you need before proposing to a lady, or before saying yes to a man is
1. Solid Convictions
These convictions will keep you standing against any adversity that comes in the disguise of saccharine.
So, if you are already in a relationship without your convictions, I advise you to sit down and ask yourself....
1. What makes me like this man/woman
2. How does he/she connect to my Future
3. What makes him different from other men or women
These and some others are sure to give you shock absorber when the relationship start experiencing tornados 😀
2. Value System
Have you asked yourself these questions before?
What would my spouse do it say when I am not around to monitor it influence him?
Or what will my children do when there is none of us around...?
That is the definition of value system
Every good marriage is built on individuals with solid value systems
Your value system talks about the way you see life and you respond to things around you...
You can build your value system by writing how you intend to respond to the following
1. Socially
2. Morally
3. Faith
4. Fun
5. Money Issues
6. Community
7. Education
8. Work
For instance, my value system summarizes all the above into 4 points that governs how I react to things
Don't steal my own o
1. Faith... To demonstrate faith towards God
2. Excellence at work
3. Love towards family and community
4. Creativity
Write it out explicitly and combine it with your spouses own to form a value system for your family
That is the inheritance of the children, you all know good children from bad children through their value system
Next and last for today is
3. Mission statement
This is the summary of your decisions and actions towards the accomplishments of your goals and visions
A good concise and clear mission statement eliminates confusion coming on how to spend money, trips, fun, bla bla bla
It gives you the opportunity to intentionally express your value systems and avoid conflicts and distractions
Any time you see a family quarrel uncontrollably, it is because of a clash traced to lack of mission statement
The wife wants Dubai, the husband wants a land.
These and many more can be avoided by sitting and planning

Question: According to the first point sir, we have Gods wisdom like that of king Solomon... Also of The Pharisees and seduces that the bible express has people who are knowledgeable
Please, is that wisdom is laying more emphasis on God given wisdom?
Answer: There are different types of Wisdom, there is a form that comes from natural intelligence and there is another form that comes by revelation
To access the natural intelligence, you need to study wide and deep, but to get the revelation, you need the word and prayer
